Relaxation Butterflies

Lying on the ground, listening to relaxing music and taking deep breaths is a good way to relax.

Golden Time

Golden Time is on Fridays. After we have worked hard during the week, we get half an hour to choose activities such as playing with toys, playing in the kitchen, playdoh, art table and boardgames or jigsaws. We have so much fun with all of our friends in Room 12.

Baking Scones

We had lots of fun baking scones in Room 12.

In September we won an award for having neat and tidy uniforms.

Our science experiment this week was about air. We used balloons to show how air travels and makes things move. Our equipment included a pencil, a pin, a balloon, a straw and sellotape.

Our dance workshop with Kevin began on Monday! We will have dance until Christmas. It was amazing and exciting!

Room 12's Toy Show!

We got 10 Ludo points for being good and lining up quietly. As a reward, we brought in our favourite toys today!

Numicon maths

During maths, some of our groups used Numicon shapes for matching and sorting.

The Bug Hotel

Using teamwork, we built this bug hotel.

We hope loads of big and small, creepy bugs come to see and stay.

It was exciting and amazing!

We loved it.

We made bookmarks for Art class. We printed with coloured bubbles. We nearly got bubbles on our faces! 

We had a maths trail outside. Room 12 split up into groups and had to follow instructions to find answers to maths questions. It was really amusing! 

This is our maths stations work. It was hard work but very interesting.

This was our P.E. lesson this week. It was super fun! 

We practised throwing with beanbags, balls and balloons.

We wrote about our science experiments.

On Friday, we did a science experiment about clouds! 

We made clouds out of shaving foam and add coloured water to make rain. 

We found out that if clouds fill up with water, it rains!

We read "The Great Paper Caper" again today and we illustrated our own page from the book. 
We did stretches after our work to help our brains wake up!
One group constructed lovely buildings using Lego.

The Great Paper Airplane Competition

Room 12 had a competition to make paper airplanes and see how far they flew. 

We measured the flight in metres. It was our maths lesson but it was more like a game. 

We got the idea from our book "The Great Paper Caper" by Oliver Jeffers.

Working hard!

We are working hard this week, especially at keeping up our blog! We did maths in groups. We played a memory game for Language stations.

Fun times in our first week!

We had lots of fun this week.
We danced to Go Noodle, we did art (lots of birds, leaves and fish!) and we played with new friends!

The start of a new school year!
Welcome to our new pupils in Room 12 and welcome back to our friends from last year. 
It is going to be an exciting year with lots of fun and hard work along the way! We are looking forward to getting started. 😊
